Netport Support

Renewing/Applying for a certificate:

  • Go to the following link - https://cert.emcs-netport.com/certsrv
  • Click “request a certificate” then “next”
  • Then “web browser certificate” then “next”
  • Complete your details in the relevant boxes and then “submit”
  • The next step is to contact EMCS who will arrange for your certificate to be issued.
  • Once the certificate has been issued:
  • Return to this link - https://cert.emcs-netport.com/certsrv
  • This time select “check on a pending”
  • Click “install” which will take a few seconds to complete… once successfully installed you can log on as normal.
  • https://www.emcs-netport.com – is the main logon site

Netport WAP Services

The following can be used as a guide to enabling the use of EMCS’s Netport services via a Mobile Phone (WAP Enabled).

The following sequence is taken from the menu of a Nokia 3310, some other mobile phones may differ.

Firstly you will need to program your mobile phone with the WAPPort address: -

1. From the menu button go to Services.
2. From Services go to Bookmarks.
3. From Bookmarks select “Add Bookmark”.

At this point you will be asked to enter an Address and a Name:
Address: http://www.emcs-netport.com/wap
Name: EMCS WAP Port

You should have now successfully saved a WEB address called EMCS WAP Port onto your mobile phone.

Logging On To WAP Port

1. From the Menu Button Select Services.
2. From Services select Bookmarks
3. From Bookmarks select EMCS WAP Port and then select Call

You should now be presented with a message “Welcome to EMCS WAP Port”, you will now be asked for a User-Name and a Password (password is your engineer code in full i.e. inclusive of your installer code.)

For user names and password, please see next page or contact EMCS.

4. In the User-Name section, enter your 4digit WAP Port code by selecting the Call Button or the Edit (Nokia 3310) and Press OK.
5. Now insert your 7/8digit Password, (as described above).
6. Select “Log On”.
7. By Pressing the Call Button or the Edit button (Nokia 3310), you may now enter your Contract (Chip) Number.

N.B. when entering a contract number you must input all proceeding numeric digits (Zero’s).
e.g.: Contract number 00/1234 will be entered as 00001234.

8. Select “Get Customer”

You will now be presented with the details of the customer you have requested, to continue, simply select OK.
